The Solar Radiation Measurement Training course is a comprehensive program designed for anyone in the global solar PV market, including investors, project developers, owners, equipment manufacturers, maintenance and operation companies, and system integrators. The course aims to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to properly plan, design, commission, and interpret the findings related to solar radiation measurement using hands-on training techniques with OTT HydroMet instruments.
Duration: 3 days
Schedule: The Solar Radiation Measurement course will be held twice per year to accommodate participants from around the world. The dates for the upcoming sessions are as follows:
Enrollment in the course is open now and interested parties can register via Registration Form or contact us at solar-support@otthydromet.com for more information.
The course is designed for anyone in the global solar PV market, including investors, project developers, owners, equipment manufacturers, maintenance and operation companies, and system integrators.
During the course, you will gain the required knowledge and skills to measure solar radiation parameters, including short-wave and long-wave, environmental measurements such as wind speed and direction, air temperature, air pressure, and precipitation. You will also learn to work with OTT HydroMet's solar tracker to measure the different components of solar irradiance, namely direct, diffuse, and global. The course also covers working with OTT HydroMet's net radiometers and albedometers as well as an introduction to soiling measurement. Participants will gain confidence in working with and programing a scientific data logger to read the measured parameters.
For face-to-face trainings, we will be using the following instruments. If you are participating remotely, having these instruments will help to duplicate the hands-on part of the training:
Such as the Kipp & Zonen SMP10
Such as the Kipp & Zonen SOLYS2 and the all-in-one solar radiation monitoring system RaZON+
Such as the Kipp & Zonen LOGBOX SE
Training at customer facility/conference: €1,600 + Travel and accommodation costs per day
Training at our facility: €500 per person per day or €1,600 per person per week (4 days)
Training online: €200 per person per hour
Note: For trainings held in our facility in Delft, Netherlands, or online trainings
“Don't miss out on this opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills you need to properly plan, design, commission, and interpret solar radiation measurement instruments. We look forward to seeing you in our upcoming training sessions!”
