This training course is specifically designed to help participants understand the critical importance of soiling measurement and analysis in the solar PV market. Through our comprehensive curriculum, you will gain a deep understanding of the various techniques for measuring soiling and interpreting the data collected using OTT HydroMet products. You will also learn about the relationship between soiling and energy loss, as well as how soiling impacts the performance and profitability of solar plants. By the end of the course, you will be equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to properly plan, design, commission, and interpret soiling measurement instruments, enabling you to optimize the performance of your solar plant and minimize energy yield loss.
Duration: 2 days
Schedule: The Soiling Measurement, Data Acquisition and Analysis Training Course will be held twice a year to accommodate participants from around the world. The dates for the upcoming sessions are as follows:
Enrollment in the course is open now and interested parties can register via Registration Form or contact us at solar-support@otthydromet.com for more information.
This training course is designed for a wide range of professionals in the global solar PV market who are interested in gaining a comprehensive understanding of soiling measurement, data acquisition, and analysis. This includes investors, project developers, owners, equipment manufacturers, maintenance and operation companies, and system integrators, as well as those in the concentrating PV industry. Additionally, it is suitable for scientists, researchers, engineers, and instrument developers/manufacturers in the field of solar energy who are interested in learning more about soiling measurement. The course is particularly relevant for professionals who are involved in monitoring and optimizing the performance of solar plants, as accurate soiling measurement is critical for determining cleaning cycles and minimizing energy yield loss.
We will review the common techniques for measuring soiling and cover the data acquisition and interpretation of soiling measurement instruments using OTT HydroMet products. Soiling of PV panels can result in considerable loss of energy yield of PV panels. In order to determine the optimum cleaning cycle of a solar plant, one needs to continuously monitor the soiling of the modules.
For face-to-face trainings, we will be using the following instruments. If you are participating remotely, having these instruments will help to duplicate the hands-on part of the training:
