Mobile Weather Sensor MARWIS in Operation on Airports - Italy

OTT HydroMet's Lufft MARWIS mobile weather sensor is successfully in operation at several airports in Italy. Just a few examples are Airport Bergamo BGY, Airport Venedig and Airport Triest.

MARWIS stands for "Mobile Advanced Road Weather Information Sensor", and is the first road and runway weather sensor that detects road conditions, temperatures, friction and other parameters mobile and in real-time from driving vehicles.

Customer Opinion - Mr. Fabio, Airport Bergamo:

"The MARWIS from Lufft is a very useful tool to get all necessary runway weather data in real time (for example the thickness of the contaminant, the contaminant type and the surface temperature).

Our first experience in this winter season has allowed us to significantly reduce the time of data collection on runways. Furthermore the data are precise and are delivered reliably. This enabled us to organize our work much more efficiently. The installation and the calibration of the mobile sensor are very easy and quick to make. I think it is a great tool and I highly recommend it."
