LEADS® - The Leading Environmental Analysis & Display System is a cutting-edge weather toolkit, which allows for the ingest, integration, processing, storage, and visualization of virtually any type of meteorological/environmental data. LEADS® provides scalable, versatile weather solutions for forecasters, decision-makers and overall support applications within your business or country. LEADS® can be configured to run on a variety of hardware and operating system set-ups, allowing for the ingest and database of all available meteorological data, fusing of data, and automatic creation of a web-based product database of defined forecast products.

The LEADS® solution is both dynamic and flexible, which allows for integration into any existing architecture. This powerful toolkit provides a tailored, integrated, turn-key solution to any organization's decision-making and operational support needs.

LEADS® core is the modular heart of the LEADS®system. The LEADS® core is responsible for decoding, scheduling, combining, rendering and storing products. The LEADS UI contains many drawing, configuration and admin functions. LEADS® normally runs fully automated using distributed processing on the APG (Automatic Product Generators). LEADS® also contains a powerful plain text scripting language allowing customers to create their own products. The LEADS® core contains around 100 modules that can be configured to meet the customer's mission with the average customer needing about 25 modules.

The LEADS® workstation is the desktop client that communicates with the LEADS® core. The workstation can configure the core processes. In addition, the workstation provides additional drawing and interrogation information for core products.

The LEADS® On-Line is a web tool to see content fast and for specialized functionality. Displays thumbnails in a grid for meteorologists to see side by side while allowing selection of one to see looping in time at full resolution. LEADS® On-Line is also the interface for advanced multistep capabilities, alarm setup and administrative functionality. LEADS® On-Line is available for subscription service at weather.meteostar.com

The third generation LEADS® iGM web tool is the Interactive Geospatial Map (iGM) which provides the zoom and pan feel of a model web site. This product leads the industry in its ability to loop products, use the full LEADS® layer library (100s of layers), and allow drawing and alerting on the interactive map.

Multiple images and data layers are fully supported in LEADS®. Users can build products that support the ability to turn visibility on and off for each layer, including displaying the actual values contained in each layer.

Calculators & Functions

MeteoStar has incorporated algorithms from agencies within the US Air Force, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon and major universities including Texas Tech and University of Oklahoma. This supports single button computations of parameters such as the Knapp-Ellrod Turbulence Index, Panofsky, Showalter, Bulk-Richardson and many more.

High-Quality Graphics

LEADS® allows users to shade or shadow any layer within a product. This provides broadcast-quality detail and adds significant levels of quality to any LEADS® produced image.

Symbols, Fonts, and Logos

MeteoStar LEADS® software includes comprehensive support for meteorological drawing tools along with a standard set of line, polygon and shape tools. LEADS® contains a complete set of WMO and ICAO symbols, fonts, and also supports custom user symbols which allows a user to import their own logos, symbols and images. This complete set of tools is the most comprehensive and can be extended to include the user-created tools.

Automation

LEADS® contains a simple scripting language that records all events as you build products and perform tasks within the software. This allows you to easily replicate common practices with a single button click. Saving files, building charts and performing advanced algorithms can be scripted, interactive and automatic in LEADS®. This powerful capability sets LEADS® apart and allows users to tailor a complex system down to a single set of buttons that perform the exact functions they require.

GTS & TTY Switch Integration
